Lovely meal at this excellent restaurant. The service was faultless even though it was extremely busy with a large group. Couldn&#39;t fault a thing. We will definitely return soon.

Gilão Restaurante

Lovely setting on the river bend. Friendly, helpful service from everyone, and good advice on local wines. Food very good, especially the nasi goreng and the little puddings. We were there at start of evening and it got a bit chaotic later but everyone was charming and well intentioned.

Nearly didn&rsquo;t go in as main dining was inside and wanted to be outside but so glad we did.  Best dinner in tavira by a country mile.   Octopus tempura, tuna tacos and sweet potato chips were delicious.  Generous portions, great service and seriously good food.   Don&rsquo;t leave tavira without trying.

Excellent restaurant with great choice and all dishes we chose were great. Really friendly staff and service was good with food arriving piping hot. It gets busy here so advise to book.

This was at least my fourth visit to this restaurant. The food is consistently excellent and the service dependable. This was a special celebration with friends and we were not disappointed.

What a delightful experience! Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. The truffle ravioli and Margherita pizza were exceptional, and the tiramisu perfect!

Wonderful experience with the waitstaff and kitchen&rsquo;s preparation. We visited with young children and they readily accommodated our requests. Tasty creations from the regular menu.

Second time visiting and the food was as good as the first! The fish is very fresh and we loved how they served it in a different way to other restaurants. Recommend the Tempura octopus and tuna to start.

So glad I listened to the other reviews! The food was amazing and worth so much more than we paid. Also do not miss out on dessert, they are to die for and I have not had anything like these before. If you want modern Portuguese food this is the place, the fish was so fresh it just melted in my mouth

I was there for the fifth time and the food Wasserung very delicious. Excellent grilled octopus with sweet potatoes. A special delight are the pat&eacute;s of the couvert and the bread.
